This is where I work...
There is a new Mylar on the paper shade and an old Acetate on the wall
seems like the ugly rust chair took over as the art........Eventually I have to do something with the Mylar as a see through product and make some transparent work.......

I think this is how I forsee the next experimentation with Mylar... using several layered sheets with images.... and some sort of lighting or transparent effect......

Dmitri... my friend in San Francisco changed his name to Dmitrius... upon moving to SF... and my friend Rick changed his name to" wave " and moved to Ptown.......... Seems like all my friends change their names and move........I was thinking if I changed my name what would it be... My nasty friend Phil who moved to Montreal .. suggested "Flower Savant."... because I cant remember any name ..... but if he asked what type of flower we were looking at and what its name was I knew it immediately...... so I guess I would have to be Flower Savant..... I cant even spell savant .....

I am in Philadelphia still .....waiting for my friend to get off from her job at the library...... Ive listened to almost every Rufus Wainright song on my computer.. The L album....even down to Whitney Houston... I have to say that ...cause I am not sure how cool it is to say you listen to Whitney.....but ....I am sure cool isnt even a cool word....

well really like this.... in parts..... this is one from about 4 or 5 years ago but it shows the process .........the drawings start on multiple peices of paper ................... and fit as ...one



This is guys name was Luccander and I don't know what happened to him... we met at an open poetry reading at Fire an Water in Northampton, Ma.... I asked him to model ....he had a huge X tatooed on his arm .....which I thought would be great in a drawing of him......

I am having trouble getting Modern Postcards to edit the image correctly for my upcomming show at the Three Dollar Bill Cafe in SF..... they keep cutting off the flowers and the bodybuilder at the bottom... here is what I would like it to look like.

I am in Philadelphia

I ve been in Jersey ..well actually stuck in Jersey for two days because of flooding...but finally made it to Philadelphia... I am staying at my friend Helen.s new condo in China town.... sleeping on a blow up mattress and looking at her very beautiful view of downtown. The closing was yesterday.. I waited in the realty office with 3 of the Chinese realtors for a long time.. This trip started out with me stopping off at Sotheby's in NYC to sell a Hockney drawing I purchased in P town about 14years ago.. that was odd in itself.. I thought it would have lots of fanfare and drama, but a 20 something year old girl came out took my beloved drawing and left me sitting in the lobby....

It will feature work I made while visiting my ex boyfriend Tim and his
partner Craig in Chelsea, NYC. Craig has amazing taste and a wonderful
collection of furniture and art, which became the inspiration for the images
in the mylars. The space felt contemporary and fresh. and for some reason
how I picture the quintessential gay life style in Manhattan. A visit to
the Chelsea Piers reinforced the importance of having a beautiful body for
this community.
The image of the floral still life and the men have become a form of
iconography... linking the duality of the delicate feminine beauty of
flowers with images of powerful bodybuilders ... or the feminine with the
extreme masculine..
